This professionally modified version plays Blu-ray discs from Regions A, B and C and DVDs from all regions. Regional playback is automatic and firmware updates will not remove the modification. The UBP-X800M2 supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision, delivering deep contrast, bright highlights and detailed shadow areas. It can pass Dolby Atmos and DTS:X to a compatible receiver when set to bitstream. DSEE HX processing improves the clarity of compressed music files, while support for high-resolution audio ensures detailed sound for demanding listeners.

Bluetooth with LDAC

Built-in Bluetooth allows wireless listening through headphones or speakers, ideal for late-night viewing. Sony’s LDAC technology increases bandwidth for clearer wireless audio when paired with compatible Sony devices.

USB playback and file access

A front USB port supports playback of movies, photos and music from external drives. Up to 500 folders and files can be recognized, making the player flexible for large digital libraries.

Dual HDMI outputs
