Detail
Overview
The DRACO Series is a comprehensive suite of industrial designed for a wide range of UAV applications, from compact mapping drones to large-scale heavy-lift platforms. Fully compatible with PX4 open-source firmware, the DRACO series offers exceptional versatility, precision, and reliability, supporting both standard and advanced multirotor configurations.
From integrated power modules to seamless GNSS+RTK positioning, the DRACO ecosystem enables plug-and-play deployment with intuitive wiring and robust interface management.
Key Features
Voltage Input: 6S–28S (model dependent)
CAN Interfaces: Single or dual CAN buses
PWM Outputs: 8 to 16 depending on model
Operating Temperature: -20°C to 70°C
Hover Accuracy: ±0.5m (horizontal and vertical)
Maximum Inclination Angle: 35°
PX4 Firmware Compatibility: Supports multirotor, VTOL, helicopter, boat, and car types
Cloud Platform: Integrated with BOYING Industrial Bit Data Cloud
Advanced Modular Design
Independent ports for all modules, including GNSS, RTK, power input, telemetry, LEDs, and CAN extensions
XT30 power port on select models like DRACO MINI2 for direct 6–14S battery connection
Anti-reverse plug design for main and auxiliary connectors simplifies installation and eliminates error
Platform Compatibility
Supports clockwise, counter-clockwise, and asymmetric multirotor configurations:
X4, +4
X6, +6
X8, +8
Coaxial X4 and 4+4 propeller systems
Asymmetric models: 3+3, 4+2, 4+4, and more
System Expansion & Peripherals
The DRACO controller natively supports integration with:
Dual-band
360° omnidirectional LiDAR
Edge onboard computing systems
High-voltage ESCs
PWM signal I/O
S.BUS receiver input
4G data transmission modules
LED Status Indicators
The integrated LED provides at-a-glance system status and diagnostic feedback:
LED Behavior Indication No light LED fault or log update Red/White alternate flashing FC initializing Red/Yellow/Blue/Green flash No device calibration Red/Blue/Green flashing Calibration/testing in progress Yellow slow flash RC fault or low voltage protection Purple solid Compass fault Purple dual flash Accelerometer fault Purple fast flash Unlock failure or init incomplete Red solid Log memory failure Red/Yellow alternate GPS failure Blue solid or flashing No GPS Green solid or flashing GPS locked Green fast flashing High-precision GPS lock Remote Controller S.BUS Channel Mapping
The DRACO autopilot system fully supports S.BUS receivers. For common transmitters, channel assignments are preconfigured:
Channel Function Notes 1 Roll 2 Pitch 3 Throttle 4 Yaw 5 Flight Mode Used for flight mode switching and calibration 6 Aux1 Preconfigured auxiliary channel 7 Return-to-Home Also used as failsafe trigger (value ≥ 975) 8 AB Switch Enables AB path function 9–14 Auxiliary Optional programmable inputs For receivers without clear failsafe status on throttle, Channel 7 must be configured as the failsafe trigger.
Flight Controller Installation Guidelines
Installation Orientation: Align FC with aircraft nose direction; GNSS module heading must match FC orientation
Interference Avoidance: GNSS and RTK modules should be positioned away from high-current devices, high-frequency EMI sources, or active antennas
GPS Position Correction: DRACO supports precise GPS-based installation correction (±1m with 0.01 resolution)
Max Attitude Angle: Factory-configured to restrict unsafe pitch/roll during flight
